Is Tumblr the New Twitter?: I don't think that Tumblr is the new Twitter. It could be used as an aggregator though. I guess Amplify could be the new Twitter though. A Twitter with a lot better discussion possibilities. But why a new Twitter? Why don't something new instead? Amplify is a new and fresh service. This is another HUGE plus for the great blogging service Amplify. The team really listen to the users! They will look into upgrading the autoposting to Google Buzz and Friendfeed today. They will try to do so that images also get posted to these services. Not only our notes/comments and link to the Amp. That's awesome! Even if they don't find a solution. Paul: Still having trouble seeing what Posterous can give me that Tumblr can't, maybe I'm not looking hard enough. you: One thing is that Posterous indexes a lot better in Google. Another is the easyness to blogging via mail. I know Tumbr has that feature too, but it is by far not so good as Posterous.
